Plastic is killing 40 per cent of young sea turtles according to a recent article in the Daily Mail UK. This is a shocking statistic, one we should all be appalled by. Baby turtles are almost four times more likely to be killed by ingesting plastic waste compared to adults.

According to the Sea Turtle Conservancy, sea turtles are part of two ecosystems, the beach/dune system and the marine system. If sea turtles went extinct, both the marine and beach/dune ecosystems would be negatively affected. We are all interconnected.
